April transportations

April has been another busy month with many galgos coming into the kennels in Albacete, Barcelona, Cadiz and Madrid and many leaving for homes in Belgium, France, Italy, Norway and Slovenia! It’s amazing the journeys that some of these galgos make but you just have to look at the photos here to see that it is all worth it.

We were very grateful to Catherine Madry  (Levriers en Detresse) for helping with the transportation of 19 galgos from Barcelona to Belgium for Josephine and her group (Greyhounds Rescue Belgium).

Thanks again to Balbino and his team in Albacete for organizing the veterinary care of another 16 galgos, 13  for homing by Elisa (Adopt Centre Italy ) and 5 for Eric and his team in Slovenia .

We were very pleased that Marita, from Norway , was able to fly to Cadiz to collect Alanis.  April and Paul kindly took Alanis to the airport and she is now getting to know her galgo friend Fenix (who moved from Spain some time ago)

Thanks also to Nuria in Madrid who is working very hard homing the galgos.  Here is Belen now settling into her new home in France .
