Another winning galgo ...

Many GIN supporters will remember Zarza, now Archie, who came from Albacete. He has a very bad scar from an old injury and his story touched the hearts of many of us.  He completed quarantine in January this year and is now very happily homed with Ally Spence and family.

Allly writes ........Just to let you know that there was another winner this summer as Archie came first out of about 40 dogs to win 'most appealing eyes' and he also made a LOT of new friends in the process. A lot of children wanted to know what was wrong with his shoulder as did a lot of adults so I obviously had to be careful not to give too much detail but it was very touching as most kiddies brought their grand parents and parents over to meet him and give him a cuddle (which Archie thoroughly enjoyed) and the parents wanted to know much more about GIN and their relentless rescue work in Spain.

When we were chosen as first place my three and a half year old daughter took the rosette with grace and maturity and kissed Archie on the (rather long) nose where as I was an emotional, tearful wreck!

As you can see from the  photo Archie was as tired as Dante and Barney with all the attention received during the day and as normal was fast asleep and snoring within the blink of an eye shortly after our arrival home..................Ally and Archie (and co)
