20 galgos leave Vic for Brussels 5.10.07

We are pleased to report that 20 dogs left Vic on the 5th October. Catherine Madry of Levriers en Detresse transported the dogs, from Vic to Antwerp, into the care of Josephine and Greyhounds Rescue Belgium who have found homes for them.

The lucky dogs were:

Vargas, Sabry, Bolfo,  Mati, Armani, Canela, Rubia, Fito, Negri, Pachu, Paloma and Lucia from Albacete

Madre from Cuenca

Amaya and Peludo from Almendralejo

Colin, Debbie, Flopsy, Sooty and Polly from Murcia

Many  thanks to Pep who kennelled and carried out their veterinary work and Mada, Balbino, Christine and all the volunteers of their refuges who carried out the primary rescue of these 20 dogs.

Mada in Almendralejo asked us if we could help Peludo.  He had a very bad injury to his paw and could not walk on it. He underwent operations and has spent some months recovering with Mada at her home and also at Pep’s kennels.  The wound is not completely healed but he can now use this leg.  Here he is in Belgium.
