November GIN walk

Jane in Sheffield , who has offered a home to Terry and Isoldo in quarantine, is kindly organizing walks in her area to help raise some funds for GIN.

Her first walk is on 4th November, details below ….

NOVEMBER GIN WALK IN SHEFFIELD – 4TH NOVEMBER

Start time - 11:00am (coffee & hot chocolate for humans + water for dogs,  will be available from 10:45am)

Distance - approx. 4 miles

Time Taken - approx. 2 Hours (at a steady pace)

On leaving the public car park at the rear of Pennine Equine Centre, Finkle Street, Wortley, S35 7DH, the walk travels along the Trans Pennine Trail, through Wharncliffe woods, Tin Mill Fishing lakes and over the river Don,  taking in the delights of some of north Sheffield's beautiful countryside, which up until recently, was privately owned and therefore only enjoyed by the 'landed gentry!'

Appropriate footwear is advisable, (the river crossing does give the option of footbridge, stepping stones, or 'paddle'!)  and full control of your dog(s), at all times, is politely requested.

Anyone & any breed are most welcome - for a £2 donation to GIN a raffle ticket will be issued, the draw will take place on our safe return to the car park, and all prizes have been kindly donated by local business's (bless 'em!)

All dogs must be kept under the control and supervision of their owners.  All dogs attend this event at their owner's risk and while every care will be taken, Greyhounds in Need accepts no responsibility for loss, damage or injury however caused to dogs, persons or property while at this event.
