We are always looking for new homing opportunities for the galgos from Spain so were pleased last year when Eric Maj and his group POMOC HRTOM in Slovenia offered to take some galgos for homing. Elisa and Chiara of the Adopt Centre Italy were already taking galgos from Balbino in Albacete, with help from GIN, so arrangements were made with us and Balbino for him to bring more galgos on his regular trips to Nice where Elisa, Chiara and Eric could meet him and continue their journeys with the galgos to Modena and Slovenia.
This poster shows the 52 dogs (27 greyhounds, 16 galgos, 8 lurchers and 1 podenco) they have been able to rehome from June 2006 until July 2007, wonderful news for us all and more galgos are currently reserved in Albacete ready for the next transportation to Nice in September.
