| Date: | Sunday, 23 September 2007 |
| Start time: | 11.00 am |
| Parking: | "Ashley Walk" Car Park, Godshill Ridge, Nr Fordingbridge. |
This walk, approximately 4¾ miles long, should take around 2 hours at a leisurely pace. It covers a diverse area of woodland and open heath with some water stops for the dogs to enjoy. It is mostly a well made path, but can be quite muddy in a couple of places – especially after heavy rainfall.
Please
respect other users of the forest, especially ponies and horse
riders, and maintain control of your dog.
Take the A338 from Ringwood towards Fordingbridge. Just before Fordingbridge filter left, signposted Godshill B3078, then right to cross under the main road. Go all the way through the village and out into the Forest, up past the first car park on the right. Next car park is below the road to the right, just after signs on left “Godshill Pottery” and “Saltings”. Watch out as it is easy to drive past!
There
should be plenty of space but it may well be busy with other dog
walkers and family groups so please take care entering and leaving
the car park.
A
donation of £2.00 per person for Greyhounds in Need can be
payable to Sue North before the start of the walk.
All
dogs must be kept under the control and supervision of their
owners. All dogs
attend this event at their owner's risk and while every care will
be taken, Greyhounds in Need accepts no responsibility for loss,
damage or injury however caused to dogs, persons or property while
at this event. Sore
feet and paws included!
