| Date: | Sunday, 21 October 2007 |
| Start time: | 11.00 am |
| Parking: | “BURBUSH HILL” Car Park, Nr Burley. |
This
walk, approximately 4 miles long, should take around 2 hours at
a leisurely pace. It
covers a diverse area of woodland and open heath with some water
stops for the dogs to enjoy.
There are footbridges over most of the streams along the
route, but it can
be quite muddy in a couple of places – especially near Whitten
Pond after heavy rainfall. Please wear appropriate footwear
dependant on recent weather!
Leave the A31 Ringwood – Southampton road at Picket Post, signposted Burley. Follow the road through Burley Street into Burley. At the war memorial bear Right, signposted Bransgore and Christchurch. After about a mile, as you leave the built up area, the car park is on the Left.
There
should be plenty of space but it may well be busy with other dog
walkers and family groups so please take care entering and leaving
the car park.
A
donation of £2.00 per person for Greyhounds in Need can be
payable to Sue North before the start of the walk.
All
dogs must be kept under the control and supervision of their
owners. All dogs
attend this event at their owner's risk and while every care will
be taken, Greyhounds in Need accepts no responsibility for loss,
damage or injury however caused to dogs, persons or property while
at this event. Sore
feet and paws included!
