Could you offer me a new home please?

This young man is Summer who is a whippet x greyhound and is approximately 7 years old  He is a very loving, obedient and gentle people dog and has lived in a family situation with small children in the past.  He is excellent in the house being clean, non-destructive and fine to be left without any problems. He walks well on the lead and is fine with most other dogs, with one exception……..Summer suffers from fear aggression which only seems to manifest itself when he is exercised in areas where there are large numbers of dogs running off lead. He simply cannot cope with this and despite working with our trainer, it is felt that this is something which he cannot completely overcome. As such, we are looking for a very special home for him with someone who would be willing to understand his problem and minimise the cause of it. Ideally, it would be with someone who has a reasonable sized garden where he could have a run around and also in an area where he would not be walked near dogs running off lead, perhaps a retired couple who would like a dog but do not wish to go on very long walks in busy parks etc.

Please do not be put off this little chap, he is a fabulous dog in so very many ways and we are offering any potential adopter ongoing support from our dog trainer who will be able to advise on the best way to handle Summer so that both dog and owner are happy and safe. Summer is neutered, vaccinated, microchipped and has had full dental treatment.

If you feel that you could offer this gorgeous boy a loving home, please contact either Carol Cushnie on 01925 211530 or Sue & Phil White on 0161 620 6094
