March TransportationsJosephine of Greyhounds Rescue Belgium flew to Alicante to collect 5 galgos who had been rescued by Paul and Keith of Noah's Arc, Murcia. Paul had to get up early to be at the airport with the dogs at 7am! One of the galgos collected was Milly. She had been living free for about 3 years before she was caught, she is quite timid and can jump very high! She is with a foster family at the moment, in Antwerp, and she will need a home with a very dedicated and special family. Our thanks again to Balbino and his team at Arca de Noe in Albacete for organizing the veterinary care of twenty galgos for homing by Elisa and Chiara of the Greyhound Adopt Centre Italy (GACI) and Nina and Nina of SLOVENSKO DRUŠTVO ZA POMOČ HRTOM. The week before the transport Elisa told us that they had about 18 inches of snow and the roads were so bad that they worried about not being able to go ahead with the trip itself. Luckily the day before the trip it was really sunny and it melted the majority of the snow away, so the transport went ahead and twenty galgos arrived safely. Elisa said that everything went well and it turned out to be a wonderful day for everyone involved. You can watch the video here:
