November-December
transportations
Another 39
galgos left Spain over the last two months to start their
new lives in Belgium, France, Italy, Slovenia and
Switzerland. It is wonderful to know that they will all be
settling in with their new families in time for Christmas. Our thanks
go to the refuges/shelters/kennels in Spain for rescuing and
taking care of these galgos, preparing them for homing by
organising the necessary veterinary work needed, which we
have been able to fund, and to the adoption groups who work
tirelessly finding homes for them in their own countries. It is a bad time in Spain now for the galgos as it is the hunting season, many are being abandoned and some are being taken to the refuges or left at their gates. We and the groups we work with are already making plans to transport more galgos in January.
