Patrons for GIN The trustees decided that GIN would benefit from having patrons who will be prominent personalities with a real interest in our work. I am delighted to tell you that we have been fortunate to obtain the   agreement of two such people to become Patrons of GIN. JILLY COOPER OBE is well-known to everyone.  She is a long time supporter of animal welfare causes and the   devoted owner of her greyhound “Feather”.   Jilly is, of course, a hugely successful author of many best-selling novels as well as a highly respected journalist and broadcaster. ALEXANDRA BASTEDO is well-known as a very successful film, stage and   television actress.  She has for the last 30 years run her own animal sanctuary in   Pulborough which today is home to over 150 animals including donkeys, ponies, cats, poultry and sheep, as well as dogs. I am sure that both our new Patrons will help to spread awareness of our vital work for galgos and greyhounds and we welcome them most warmly to the GIN family.                                                                                  Martin       5 Jilly Cooper and Feather
